Braces & Invisalign
As an adult, getting braces can be an embarrassing and stressful process. We offer several options for braces ranging from classic metal braces to more discreet ceramic braces to Invisalign® clear aligners, which use a series of custom transparent aligners that straighten teeth over time while you sleep. Aligners are made with 3D computer imaging technology and have been proven as one of the most effective and popular teeth straightening treatments on the market.
Despite being perceived as a more dated technique, traditional metal braces are still very popular today. Modern braces are much smaller, lighter, and more comfortable to wear than options from the past. For a fun and personalized look, patients often choose the color of their bracket rubberbands. Metal braces use high-grade stainless steel metal brackets and archwires to permanently change the position of teeth over time.
Ceramic “tooth-colored” braces are made of clear composite materials. Older teens and adults usually prefer ceramic braces because they are more discreet than metal braces. While they are less noticeable, they do require more attention to oral hygiene since they are larger and more brittle than metal. Ceramic braces are used more on upper front teeth than lower ones. They are usually more expensive than metal but for many, the cosmetic advantages outweigh the costs.
The Inman Aligner has achieved remarkable results in a much shorter period of time than other more conventional removable dental appliances. With an average 12-week turnaround time to successfully straighten front teeth, the Inman Aligner is also minimally invasive, utilizing coiled springs to apply pressure on the teeth and directing them into the desired position. Last, but not least, the Inman Aligner is also more cost-effective than other invisible braces or veneers. However, not everyone is a candidate for this type of appliance.
Invisalign straightens teeth using custom clear aligners that are removable and created to fit your individual teeth. Invisalign has the flexibility and convenience to fit just about every aspect of your life. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten; you just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks until treatment is complete. By the end of the process, you’ll have the perfect, confident smile you’ve always wanted!
